Appearing on the rather famed BBC-TV show “Jazz 625” in 1964 (check out the amazing photo montage in the open!), here’s a good way to spend about 30 minutes this fine, long-awaited Friday. If you’ve had the sort of crazy work week I’ve had, throwing pretty much everything in these last few days, before the madness switches from professional to personal, I’d proscribe spending lunch today with one of those Laura Petrie “Dick Van Dyke Show” sleeping masks, a very comfortable couch and the following absolute nugget of 60s jazz gold from Mr. Adderley, his brother, Joe Zawinul and others:
